The shirt was so good Burger King sent lawyers
In 2005 we got a real cease & desist over the Beaver King logo. Here is the whole saga - letter, logos, and all.
We received a cease and desist letter years ago. While it is not technically a lawsuit, it could have led to one. This formal notice involved misleading use of their federally registered logo, copyright infringement, and deceptive/misuse of the phrase "Have it your way."
Our cease and desist letter was the first step in a legal dispute - a fight we did not want to get into.

For "educational" purposes you can read a PDF version of the letter from Burger King's law firm that handles all of their intellectual property.
Compliance
After working with an attorney and following their strict demands, we received a letter letting us know the matter had been resolved.
We had a good run
Shared some laughs, made some memories - but like an expired coupon, it was time to let the old logo go.
Unpacked the 1st shirt
It worked for this guy!
Went to Mexico too
Some payback at our local BK
New franchise? đģ
Help us reach our goal of a franchise: grab a shirt - and maybe a Beaver King Lager while you're at it.
